Summer Fun!

LCAx offers summer programming, designed to engage kids from Kindergarten through college for a summer season of sun, fun, and learning. 

  • Meadow Breeze Day Camp for K – 8th graders
  • Launch Trip Camp for 7th – 9th graders
  • Lions’ Sports Camps for 7th–12th graders
  • Employment opportunities for 12th graders and college students

Registration opens in January 2023 

LAUNCH Trip Camp 

Launch Trip Camp is for adventurous students entering grades 7 through 9.  Each day participants engage in activities like climbing, surfing, hiking, cooking or SCUBA diving.  This camp travels each day in a 15-passenger van.

WHAT TO EXPECT (Hours & AfterCamp)

Meadow Breeze Day Camp is broken up into a consistent daily schedule, with adapted activities to best serve each specific age group. Campers have the opportunity to be involved in many different activities, from swimming to archery!

DAILY HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 3:45PM

AfterCamp Available:
Sessions 1, 3 – 8:

  • One hour (3:45PM – 4:45PM): $70.00/week
  • Two hours (3:45PM – 5:45PM): $140.00/week

Session 2 (no 4th of July)

  • One hour (3:45PM – 4:45PM): $56.00/week
  • Two hours (3:45PM – 5:45PM): $112.00/week

Special offerings available for an additional fee include:

  • Red Cross swimming lessons
  • Tennis
  • Rock Climbing
  • Robotics

 


We are also focused on creating a safe and clean environment for all campers and staff members. We are closely following the Massachusetts  Department of Health guidelines and  will communicate more details with you before your child comes to camp.

We are very excited to announce that the Meadow Breeze Day Camp will be offering lunches and milk for purchase each session this summer to our campers and CITs. Lunches will be made by our own Chef Felch, in-house at camp.

  2. Go to the sessions that you registered for and scroll to the bottom of the Session Offerings. 

  3. Lunch and milk must be selected for each session individually.

  4. Purchase the lunch for that session in the same place you purchased camp.

  5. Please order lunch by the following dates, depending on the sessions for which you have registered:
    Week of 6/27 – order by 6/20
    Week of 7/5 – order by 6/27
    Week of 7/11 – order by 7/5

What types of activities do you offer?

Sports Time

Archery & Tennis

Field Activities

Ball Games & Sports Skills

Craft Time: Weekly organized group craft led by an instructor.

Creative Time: An organized time where campers can create, play board games, and participate in science experiments!

Rock Climbing: Campers have access to a full indoor rock wall with experienced instructors… beginner through advanced welcome!

Swimming: 25 minute Red Cross swim lessons daily, weather permitting, with certified lifeguards! Campers also have the opportunity for “Free Swim” during the day. 

 

What do I bring?

Campers play regardless of weather, so please plan accordingly. Send campers in clothes suitable for physical activity and closed-toe shoes. Bring a towel, sunscreen and a swimsuit. Campers must bring a refillable water bottle. Refill stations with filtered water are available across campus. Please remember to label all your belongings before sending them in.

Don’t bring: cell phones, tablets or other technology. We’re unplugged and engaged!

 

Who are the counselors?

Experienced LCA faculty, alumni, and other qualified counselors make the Meadow Breeze difference. Our counselors love kids and they know how to have fun! Many of our counselors have years of experience working at our camp.

 

Where do campers come from?

Meadow Breeze primarily serves families throughout Middlesex County including; Lexington, Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Burlington, Cambridge, Waltham, Winchester, Woburn and the rest of the Greater Boston Area.

We welcome families outside these communities, as well as international families. Campers need to be proficient in English in order to attend camp for the sake of safety. 

 

Can I sign up for more than one week?

Yes! Some kids attend for 1 or 2 weeks; others are with us for all 8. We are flexible.

 

Do I need to pack snacks or a lunch?

Yes. Campers will need to bring a bagged lunch and two snacks daily. 

 

Do you offer swim lessons?

Students have group swim lessons and free swim time as part of our regular camp schedule. 

AfterCamp offers additional semi-private lessons for an additional fee.

Can I cancel my registration?

The deposit for camp is nonrefundable. 

If you paid in full and cancel before May 1, 2022: You will receive a refund of payment with the exception of the nonrefundable deposit.

If you paid in full and a cancel after May 1, 2022, there is no refund.

COUNSELORS IN TRAINING (CIT)

For students entering 10th & 11th grades

Counselors in Training (CIT) will learn the necessary skills to become responsible camp counselors and leaders. CITs will gain a better understanding of the responsibilities associated with being a camp counselor by working closely with campers and staff.

SUMMER ACADEMY – GEOMETRY

For High School Students

This course will meet 9am-noon each day. This course is designed to provide students with a working knowledge of geometry and to develop their ability to think logically. Geometry involves an exploration of properties that are stated as theorems and the logical process of constructing proofs using these theorems. This course stresses the practical application of geometric principles as well as focusing on some of the more theoretical aspects of the subject. The computer and online apps will be used for additional geometry explorations. A scientific calculator is required for this course.

LIONS’ SPORTS CAMPS

For students entering 7th – 12th grades looking to level up their athletic skills!

Train under top notch coaches and sharpen your athletic fundamentals and intangibles. 

Camps run from 9:00AM – 3:00PM with lunch and water breaks packed with strategic whiteboard sessions and film review.  

LIONS' BASKETBALL CAMP

June 20th to June 24 : $375.00

Take your game to a new level this summer at Lexington Christian Academy’s Lions’ Basketball Camp! This full-day camp will help you level-up your fundamentals, skills, and your athletic intangibles. Come learn from current and former players and coaches at multiple levels. This camp is perfect for Middle School and High School athletes looking to improve their shooting, passing, and ball-handling, IQ on the court, and leadership skills. Whether you are looking for an introduction to the sport, or looking to play at the collegiate level, this is the camp for you!
