PARTNERING WITH PARENTS
Welcome to parent engagement at LCA! We believe that partnering with parents is essential to nurturing students’ faith, character, and academic success. Serving and partnering with you is what builds a strong, Christ-centered community, and we are excited to walk alongside you as we grow together!

The Parent Relations Council is comprised of appointed parent ambassadors from each grade who volunteer and help facilitate many community gatherings throughout the year!
- Welcoming Committee — PRC ambassadors connect with new families at the beginning of the year to help answer questions, build connections, and welcome each new family to LCA.
- Event Planning — The PRC volunteers at major events such as the Back-to-School BBQ, Homecoming, Admissions Events, Class Day, Graduation, Book Swap, etc.
- Grade Ambassadors — PRC members organize and host trimester parties or social events for families in their grade to build community among the grade.
- Thankful Thursdays — PRC members coordinate faculty and staff appreciation each Thursday, during the winter months of January and February to bring a little warmth, gratitude, blessings, and joy to the much appreciated teachers at LCA.

The Booster Club is a group of committed parent volunteers supporting all things athletics, building school spirit, and cheering on the Lions across three seasons of sports!
- Homecoming — It’s an exciting Saturday in the fall to cheer on LCA soccer, cross country, and field hockey teams against our friendly rivals, Bancroft. Booster volunteers support the teams and coaches, supervise the carnival games, help at the concessions stand, sell LCA athletics swag, and build the LCA parent community!
- The Battle — During the annual winter battle of Lexington and Concord, Boosters ignite our school spirit as five Lions teams fight to win the coveted “Drum” Trophy. We compete each year in basketball and wrestling against our rivals, Concord Academy. During home-court years, the Boosters also set up and host our concessions tables and sell LCA athletics swag!
- Team Parents — The Booster Club is looking for parents and guardians interested in volunteering to support their child’s individual team and coach throughout that season.
- Home Game Concessions — At various home games throughout the year and for championship tournaments, the Boosters build our LCA team spirit, support concessions, and bring the Lions swag to our exciting games!
This energetic team is always looking for more volunteers, so if you enjoy athletics, love a epic tournament, or picture yourself coming to a home game and want to help out, please let us know!

Parents in Prayer is a committed group of parents who gather twice per month to pray for LCA in specific ways throughout the year with a focus on the students, faculty, staff, events, and other personal requests.
All are welcome to attend as your schedule allows! Come join us in prayer on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at 7:45 am in the Student Center for devotions, sharing, and focused prayer. Parents in Prayer is an encouraging, supportive, and inspiring group faithfully praying for the LCA community.
Philippians 4:6 “…But in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
It is a blessing that LCA has so many volunteer opportunities for parents/guardians and students. Our girls have been able to take advantage of volunteering at LCA and in the community through LCA. This includes taking leadership roles and acting as leaders in a role. My husband and I have been able to volunteer as part of the Parent Relations Council, which we have been doing for five years, and I have been the Co-Chairman for the past three years. We have had opportunities to volunteer at LCA, such as assisting the faculty as requested, with theatre events, in support of athletic events, at Admissions Open Houses, and at cultural events.
As a family, it has been very fulfilling to have our Christian values and beliefs incorporated into our girls’ middle and upper school journeys. It allows us as a family to demonstrate the scripture, “…let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” (1 John 3:18 ESV). It also teaches our girls the application of servant leadership in everyday life, “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” (Philippians 2:3-4 ESV). LCA provides a Christian journey that the entire family can be a part of during some of the most formative years of their child’s life.
